Does my pontoon have an extended platform?

An extended platform is an aftermarket or bolt-on addition that provides a larger swim platform at the stern of your pontoon. If the swim platform is molded into the hull or is an integrated part of the pontoon's design, it is NOT considered an extended platform.

Is my trolling motor on the port or starboard side?

If the head of your trolling motor is stored on the left side of the pontoon, that's considered the Port side. If it's stored on the right side, that's the Starboard side. An easy way to remember this is that 'Port' and 'Left' both have four letters.

How many support poles do I need?

Support poles keep water from pooling on your pontoon cover, which can lead to premature failure due to the weight of accumulated water. As a general rule, we recommend a support pole for every 5-6 feet of pontoon length. For example, an 18' pontoon would require at least 3 points of support.

What exactly does my 3-year warranty cover?

Our industry leading 3-year warranty covers defects in material and workmanship for the ShoreFit® 300 pontoon cover. The warranty activates automatically upon purchase, so there's no extra steps to receive the industry's best full-replacement warranty.

The front of your pontoon cover is marked by a tag or logo. Begin installing your cover by placing the front of the cover on the bow end (front) of your pontoon, then unroll 1/4 of the cover towards the stern (rear). Secure the front of the cover to the bow of the pontoon, and then work towards the stern by unfolding the cover along the sides. Once the bow and the sides have been unrolled and secured, then secure the rear area of the cover around the pontoon's stern. Pay attention to any sharp areas on your pontoon that may come into contact with your cover. To help extend the life of your cover, we recommend reinforcing the inside of the cover at areas exposed to severe abrasion, using cloth-reinforced duct tape or vinyl tape.

Only covers specified as "trailerable" should be used while traveling over 25 mph. Incorrectly using a cover not specified for travel may void any warranty. When trailering, be sure that the cover is tight and secured with a strapping system, and that there are no loose areas able to flap in the wind. We suggest stopping to double-check your cover after driving a short distance and adjusting the cover as necessary.

Use the following procedure to remove the cover:

  1. Ensure the cover is dry and free of debris to prevent mold or mildew
  2. Release both ends of the cover from the front and rear of the pontoon
  3. Fold the cover to the center of the pontoon from both sides into a strip approximately 2 feet wide
  4. Roll the cover from front to rear, or vice versa

The performance of your ShoreFit® 300 pontoon cover can be affected by contaminant (dirt, dust, etc.) build-up. Washing your pontoon cover correctly will help it maintain its water resistant properties and also increase the service life of your cover. Use the following procedure to clean the ShoreFit® 300 fabric:

  1. Use a soft bristle brush to wipe away any loose dirt and spray with a water hose
  2. Mix one ounce (1oz) of Simple Green cleaner, or similar non-toxic formula, per quart of warm water
  3. Spray or sponge the mixture onto the cover
  4. Allow the cleaning mixture to soak into the fabric for up to 15 minutes
  5. Rinse thoroughly with plain water until there are no suds on the cover
  6. Air dry the cover, DO NOT place the cover in a dryer
